Special chance to recognize a young hero: A message from Nathan Gray, Co-Executive Director.

Thank you!

Thanks to your support -and patience with a complex voting procedure- the Juanpi-Earth Train team won the Sony Inter American Alpha Photo Contest.

Our friends around the world pitched in to help our ambassador, a 17-year old boy with cerebral palsy named Juanpi, win a Sony photo contest in Panama for Earth Train. He was one of five celebrities in the contest, each responsible for a photo shoot in the name of an environmental organization. This win for Juanpi -a dedicated activist and a popular radio DJ since the age of 10- will help us attract the support we need to upgrade our facilities and involve young leaders from all over the world with physical handicaps: A ropes course, special trails, an accessible swimming area, and more.

If you haven't already, I hope you´ll take a few minutes to look at the short behind-the-scenes video of what it took for Juanpi to take pictures in the jungle and at Junglewood Falls at the Mamoní Valley Preserve. See:
